Apple is again hosting an Apple Watch Earth Day Challenge as it’s done for the past two years. The company is encouraging Apple Watch users to go out and celebrate earth.
On Earth Day, which falls on 22nd April, Apple Watch users can go out and after completing a 30 minute workout, they will be earning a new, custom achievement. The Activity Challenge will be available globally, with Apple Watch users being informed closer to the day itself. Apple has also made an announcement for the upcoming Earth Day and their custom achievement badge:
On April 22, get outside, celebrate the planet, and earn this award by doing any workout for 30 minutes or more. Record your time with the Workout app or any app that adds workouts to Health.
Apple Watch Activity Challenges have returned after the February Women’s Day Challenge. This year’s Challenge will be the third year in a row, where Apple is encouraging Apple Watch users go out, workout and celebrate earth.
Activity Challenges allow Apple Watch users to collect virtual trophies available through the Achievements tab of the Activity app on iOS. There are also special stickers that can be used with Messages and FaceTime.
The stickers that users can unlock through this year’s Earth Day Apple Watch Activity Challenge can be seen above.
